Slow down and discover a quieter side of Hoi An with Viet Endangered Narratives (VEN).
This 3–4 hour private experience combines gentle biking, beginner-friendly birdwatching, basic wildlife photography guidance, and conservation storytelling. Starting from HerKitchen Heritage Tea House, participants are guided through local roads, garden landscapes, rice fields, river edges, and wetland areas where birds, people, water, and everyday rural life meet.
Before the ride, participants will enjoy welcome tea at HerKitchen Heritage Tea House and join a short orientation on Hoi An’s local habitats, basic binocular use, simple camera tips, and respectful wildlife photography.
This experience is suitable for curious travellers, families, students, beginner birdwatchers, photographers, content creators, and nature lovers who want to explore Hoi An beyond the Ancient Town. Participants are welcome to bring binoculars, professional cameras, zoom lenses, or phone cameras.
This is not a specialist birding expedition or an advanced photography workshop. It is a gentle, accessible experience designed to help participants observe nature more carefully, photograph wildlife more respectfully, and understand how local habitats support birdlife in Hoi An.
Experience Itinerary
Part 1 – Welcome Tea, Orientation & Photography Basics
(20–30 minutes)
Participants meet their private English-speaking VEN guide/facilitator at HerKitchen Heritage Tea House for a calm introduction before the ride.
This opening session helps participants prepare to observe, photograph, and understand Hoi An’s birdlife with care.
Activities include:

Basic guidance on using binoculars for bird observation

Bicycle check and route introduction
Participants will learn how to scan trees, fields, river edges, and open landscapes for movement; how to observe birds without disturbing them; and how to create simple images that show both wildlife and habitat.
Part 2 – Private Guided Biking, Birdwatching & Field Observation (2–2.5 hours)
The group cycles slowly from HerKitchen through peaceful local routes around Hoi An. The ride focuses on observation, patience, and respectful field practice, not speed.

The private VEN guide/facilitator supports participants with birdwatching tips, binocular use, simple habitat interpretation, ethical photography reminders, conservation storytelling prompts, and group safety throughout the route.Participants do not need prior birdwatching or photography experience.
Part 3 – Return Ride, Reflection (30–45 minutes)
The experience concludes with a relaxed ride back to HerKitchen Heritage Tea House, where participants can rest, enjoy refreshments, and reflect on the morning or afternoon in nature.

This is a private, beginner-friendly birdwatching and wildlife photography-inspired experience. The focus is on slowing down, observing respectfully, learning basic field ethics, and enjoying Hoi An’s quieter natural landscapes.
Participants may use binoculars and professional cameras during the experience. Please observe responsibly: do not chase birds, disturb nests, use playback calls, enter private land without permission, or damage habitats for photos.
Routes may change depending on weather, road conditions, guest safety, and local activities.
Participants should bring comfortable clothes, sun protection, a refillable water bottle, insect repellent, a camera or phone, binoculars if available, and a light rain jacket during rainy season.
