What types of programs are available?
VEN offers two main types of volunteer experiences:
1-Day or 1-Week Experiential Program
Perfect for those who want a short but immersive introduction to wildlife filmmaking and conservation efforts in Danang. These programs allow volunteers to:
-
Learn the basics of wildlife filming from experienced VEN filmmakers.
-
Contribute to conservation awareness through real-world media projects.
-
Engage with local environmental initiatives such as coastal clean-ups and biodiversity education.
Wildlife Filmmaking Program
A deeper, more hands-on experience focused on wildlife conservation and storytelling. Volunteers in this program will:
-
Work on nature documentary projects.
-
Learn from wildlife conservationists and local experts.
-
Support VEN’s efforts to raise awareness about Vietnam’s fragile wildlife ecosystems.
In the future, we plan to expand our programs to offer more conservation-focused experiences across different regions in Vietnam.
Do I need any experience before volunteering?
No prior experience is required! VEN welcomes:
-
Beginners looking to learn about wildlife filmmaking & conservation.
-
Students or professionals in filmmaking, photography, environmental sciences, or communication who want hands-on experience.
-
Passionate individuals eager to contribute to conservation storytelling.
Our team provides training, mentorship, and guidance throughout your journey.
Do I need to learn Vietnamese before participating?
No, but it can be helpful! Most of our team speaks English, and we provide English-speaking guides during your volunteer experience.
However, if you’re interested in deeper engagement with local communities and conservationists, learning a few basic Vietnamese phrases can be beneficial. We provide pre-arrival resources to help you with this.
