At VEN, we are honored to have been part of Bau Vat Treasure, a photo book published in September that celebrates the natural beauty and ecological significance of Son Tra Peninsula. Contributing to this project was more than just sharing our photographs, it was a chance to live our mission of using art and storytelling to inspire awareness and action for wildlife and nature conservation.

Bau Vat Treasure is a 272-page photo book featuring 125 works selected from artists and photography contests, each reflecting a different facet of Son Tra Peninsula. Together, the images create a detailed portrait of its landscapes, forests, wildlife, and coastal area.

The book is structured into five chapters Landscapes, The Forest’s Breath, Treasures of Son Tra, Wild Dances, and Colors of the Sea guiding readers through the peninsula’s mountains, forests, and ocean. Published in both Vietnamese and English, it goes beyond artistic value, carrying an important reminder: the protection of nature is a shared responsibility.

This includes the red-shanked douc langur, sometimes called the “queen of primates,” which is one of the most iconic species of the peninsula.
For VEN, being part of Bau Vat Treasure was more than just sharing photos. It gave us the chance to work with artists, learn their stories, and help create a book that combines art with an important message about the environment.
We wanted each image to show both the beauty and the fragility of Son Tra whether in its wide landscapes, the light falling through the forest, the wingbeat of a bird, or the eyes of the red-shanked douc langur.

This project showed how much can be achieved through collaboration. Together with the artists and the production team, we helped make a book that celebrates Son Tra while reminding readers why it must be protected. For VEN, Bau Vat Treasure is not only a record of teamwork and dedication, but also a promise to keep supporting projects that raise awareness and care for nature.

For VEN, contributing to this project was a meaningful experience that showed value of collaboration, creativity, and storytelling.
It marks another step in our journey to share inspiring stories, foster love for nature, and support the mission of protecting Son Tra the true treasure of Da Nang.
